About this Event
Ever wanted to remake your favorite movie in the most creative, low-budget way possible? Welcome to the world of sweded films.
In this free workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own short film, from idea to submission, for the upcoming Fresno Sweded Film Festival (Swede Fest). We’ll walk you through a simple, step-by-step process:
- How to pick a movie and condense it into a short, funny remake
- How to build a practical production plan (without overcomplicating it)
- How to pull together props, costumes, and a cast using what you already have
- How to film and edit your project with accessible tools
- How to submit your finished film to Swede Fest
Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone who’s dabbled in video before, this workshop will give you the clarity and confidence to actually finish a film.
Come with an idea, leave with a plan! It will be the start of your low-budget masterpiece.
This workshop is presented by Swede Fest in collaboration with CMAC.
