Explore how understanding men’s perspectives can fuel truly inclusive action on gender.
About this Event

As we strive for greater gender equality, we’re seeing more discussion about the importance of male allyship. But we rarely start by properly understanding how it feels to be a man right now, so often we don’t know how best to motivate men to want to lean in to gender equality.

We need to change that, because what we’re doing to date isn’t working. We’re living through a backlash where 53% of men now believe that gender equality has gone too far and they’re the ones being discriminated against - a backlash that’s strongest amongst Gen Z men. And even amongst the men who express a commitment to challenging sexist behaviour, there’s a large intention vs. action gap as only 31% feel confident doing so.

On Wednesday 13th March , join us at Soho Works - Dean Street for an enlightening workshop led by Lori Meakin, a multi-award-winning strategist, author of best-seller and Founder & CEO of innovation consultancy The Others & Me.

This workshop is specifically crafted for a woman's perspective (although it is open to everybody), using insights from No More Menemies, Lori’s 2 year research project which includes over 600 data points about what’s really going on for people of all genders, as well as in-depth interviews with all kinds of men, from undergrads to grandads.

In a safe, engaging and open environment, Lori and her associates will uncover the nuances of men's motivations, feelings and experiences around gender equality, providing attendees with practical tools to overcome the growing 'us vs. them' mindset, and help all genders understand how each of us can benefit from getting beyond the growing 'gender wars'.
