About this Event
Collage is an effective way to question notions of self image.
In this workshop you will work with your own self-image, combining it with paint, collage, and other chosen materials. Through this process, you will experiment with abstraction and challenge traditional notions of self-portraiture. Found images, symbols, and textures from various sources can be integrated to add further layers of meaning. By the end of the session, you will create a unique mixed media work that reinterprets your identity, embodying both the process and the power of reimagining oneself through art.
IMPORTANT!! Please bring with you a couple of A4 print outs of yourself that we can use for this workshop. All other materials provided. Workshop will be held in English.

Collage Working Club (CWC) is a weekly open workspace for artists working in the medium of paper. Organised in the format of alternate ‘drop in’ sessions and workshops masterclasses, it has both a regular facilitator, whilst also involving the artist community in the sharing of knowledge and skills. Providing materials, education and connections is the primary aim of CWC, and it will do this through the interdisciplinary art of collage as both an art form and a tool for personal growth.
