About this Event
Come join us in a relaxed session using a coloured pencil to portray animals. Whether you're an experienced artist, have tried sketching at home or in a previous workshop, or are simply up for a challenge, I'll have some fresh tips and tricks for you to discover. We'll meet you where your skills are at, and help build on your basic knowledge.
This workshop will have a special focus on drawing a roe deer/ree.
- How to start and build your animal, and bring it to life with texture
We'll work on how to~
- Become familiar with your materials
- Illustrate animals that come to life
- Learn illustration shortcuts and tricks
- Overcome perfectionism and make drawing a fun experience
We'll be working from some lovely photo reference, and you'll pick up the fundamentals which can be applied to any sketch subject, not just animals. We'll be using high quality coloured pencils. All materials (and refreshments!) provided.
Laura Carter is a professional English illustrator, with several years experience of giving art workshops.

Suitable for Confident Beginners and upwards (16yrs+). Some art experience is recommended, but not 100% necessary if you're a quick learner!
