In this workshop you will learn the process of monotype printmaking without a press. The monotype is a one-of-a-kind image.
The monotype appeal lies in its unique translucency that creates a quality of light that is very different from a painting on paper. There is a spontaneity in creating a monotype and offers the ability to combine printmaking, painting and drawing. Adding these mediums allows you to another layer of interest to specific areas, the entire plate, or the background.
