About this Event

This workshop will look at trauma responses of those affected by domestic/sexual violence to give an insight into what may be going on for the individual.

To ensure the best possible practice we also concentrate on the impact of this on workers and how they can keep themselves emotionally safe

Objectives of session:

We explore trauma responses of anxiety, flashbacks , disassociation to gain an insight into how to help individuals begin to recover from their traumatic experiences.
Vicarious trauma can occur in workers thus we look at ways of creating a safe working relationship without it invading their personal lives.

Venue:

Training will take place at West Lothian Civic Centre, Howden South Road, Livingston.

Please note refreshments will not be provided during this session, however there are a number of local services available to you.
