About this Event
A training session for practitioners working with people seeking asylum and refugees in the Eastbourne and East Sussex area.
Art Refuge artists and art therapists Jess Linton and Tony Gammidge will be joined by local photographic artist and Elizabeth Doak, following on from Art Refuge's work at Sanctuary in 2023.
We will move between immersive activities within the gallery and reflective, creative practice and discussion in the Towner studio, to think about our work with asylum seeking people and refugees. We will explore questions around managing viacrious trauma, self-care, establishing boundaries and working in relationship with our clients and often challenging social and political contexts
This is a FREE training session thanks to Public Health Eastbourne. There wil lbe a further trainign session in May 2024 (date TBC).
Places limited so booking is essential - please book via Eventbrite.
