About this Event
What’s the fabric of the season? Denim!
Strong, stylish, and endlessly versatile, denim is a wardrobe favourite, but it can sometimes feel tricky to sew. In this exciting hands on class, you’ll discover that with the right tips and techniques, denim becomes a joy to work with.
We’ll explore the different types and weights of denim, learning which ones are best suited to different projects. Along the way you’ll pick up essential skills including accurate cutting and marking, construction techniques, seams and seam finishing, and professional looking topstitching, as well as attaching rivets
And yes…we’ll even take on the dreaded fly-front zipper and break it down into simple, easy steps so you can approach it with confidence.
By the end of the day you’ll leave with a collection of practical samples for future reference, plenty of new skills, and the confidence to start your own denim garment or project using this year’s must-have fabric.
