About this Event
Working in Solar: Careers, Skills and Opportunities
The energy system is changing — and solar power is playing a growing role in how we generate electricity, create jobs, and build a more sustainable future.
Join Fife Climate Hub, Fife College, and the Local Storytelling Exchange for a free lunchtime event exploring careers in solar energy, with a look at renewable energy more broadly and the opportunities opening up across the sector.
The event will begin with a panel of five speakers working across solar and renewables, sharing their experiences of the jobs they do, how they got into the sector, and what skills are in demand now and in the years ahead. After the panel, each speaker will host a table discussion, giving you the chance to ask questions, hear more detailed stories, and have one-to-one or small-group conversations in an informal setting.
This event is open to everyone, and is particularly relevant for students and people considering or already training for careers in energy, construction, engineering, and related fields.
