About this Event
With animation now accessible to artists everywhere, standing out requires maximizing one's limitations. Eric Bernhagen argues that stop motion offers the lowest barrier to entry of any animation medium, making it the most affordable and accessible path for struggling artists or those just starting. He'll share his process for making better work because of leaning into limitation.
A little more about our speaker:
Eric Bernhagen is a Saint Paul based independent filmmaker and stop motion animator. He makes surreal stop motion and live action films that make little sense and cost little to make - neither of which are by choice.
As always, free pizza and drinks! RSVP here~!

Parking & Entry
There are several close by parking lots in the downtown area and metered street parking. A little further out, about a 10-15 min walk are the ABC Ramps, which can be a bit cheaper and are easy to get to. The building is also conveniently right off the Hennepin Goverment Plaza Light Rail Station, if you are taking public transit.
Once you are inside, look for the first floor conference rooms. We will hopefully be able to put signs up directing you to the Nice Moves meetup, but there will also be board members there to guide you. If you enter from the 6th street entrance, go to your left, and if you enter from the 5th street entrance, go to the far end and right.
