About this Event
WORK IT OUT! Building Community. Connecting good people.
THE MUSIC | Old school House music by new school DJ, Khali Melon. Khali Melon is a rising music curator and DJ in energetic artist, queer and BIPOC centered spaces.
THE MOMENT | Grooves that we get to enjoy in a real life art gallery. Enjoy live tours of the Kuumba Lynx Poetry Playground art installations. Have a drink at our fully stocked bar with speciality cocktails. Foster great conversation on the patio with a pleasant rotation. Connect with dedicated movers and shakers who understand the work.
THE MISSION | A monthly Westside networking party serving movement nonprofits, social workers, adjacent leaders and activists. Partying with a purpose with the stakeholders in our community. Fostering self-care and connection amongst ourselves, so that we are refreshed in this work. Celebration is a vital part of feelin encouraged and seen. We need that in order to ward off the burnout. The kickoff is Thursday August 15th, 2024.
THE TEAM | Hosted By Kuumba Lynx at the Westside Center for Justice in collaboration with BODY by Mighty.
Profits benefit the nonprofits housed in the Westside Center for Justice (KuumbaLynx, EAT, Westide Justice Center, Umedics, TRS, FDLA, CCBF).
