About this Event
From April 2nd to April 24th, The Social Hub Delft presents "WORK," a new exhibition by the young Greek artist Maria Chantzaridou. Her practice explores the intersection of daily survival and artistic expression, viewing labor not as a background detail, but as a primary creative vehicle.
Drawing from a decade in the service industry, Chantzaridou rejects the distanced, academic gaze often cast on the working class. Instead, she represents labor from within, translating the rhythm of the kitchen, the tray, and the ten-minute break into a visual dialogue of spray paint and graphic design. Inspired by early 3D games and mass culture, her aesthetic prioritizes clarity and humor over rigid institutional "codes," creating images that feel as familiar as a shared joke between coworkers.
The exhibition kicks off on April 2nd with an opening party inside the building and on the newly opened terrace of the venue, featuring food and music, echoing the communal spirit found in the works themselves. Following the launch, the collection will be open daily through April 24th during the regular opening hours of The Social Hub Delft.
