Industrial sewing machines are able to handle heavy duty material that would defeat a domestic machine. They can seem intimidating, but are straightforward to use once you have mastered the basics. In this class we will be learning how to work with these machines while making ourselves sturdy aprons with pockets custom designed for the craft of our choice. We will also be using a grommet setter and a rivet setter to finish off our project. Students are recommended to think ahead of time what tools they would like to carry in their apron, and either take measurements of these items or bring them into class to help plan their pocket layout.
