Words to Live By is a live performance bringing together musicians, poets, and storytellers for an evening shaped by real experience.
Created and hosted by Jim Love in partnership with the Cabarrus Arts Council and Guerilla Poets, the show moves through themes of struggle, honesty, resilience, and connection through a structured sequence of music, spoken word, and live storytelling.
Lighting, pacing, and artistic transitions are intentional. Silence carries as much weight as sound. Each performance stands on its own while contributing to a shared emotional arc across the evening.
Performers include nationally recognized poets, regional musicians, and voices from the local creative community. Expect to experience an immersive, honest, and unexpectedly hopeful evening.
This event is appropriate for adults and mature teens.
Content includes themes related to mental health, loss, recovery, and resilience.
Doors open at 7:00 PM.
Performance begins at 7:30 PM.
