About the Author:
Halyna Kruk is the author of six poetry books, including An Adult Woman (2017), Co(an)existence (2013), The Face beyond the Photograph (2005), and the audiobook Буквар / BookWar (2023), as well as a collection of short stories and four children’s books. Her works have been translated into more than 30 languages, with her latest poetry books, A Crash Course in Molotov Cocktails and Lost in Livin, available in English. She has received numerous literary awards, including being shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize. Halyna is a member of Ukrainian PEN and teaches at Ivan Franko National University in Lviv.

Lost in Living presents Halyna Kruk's unpublished work from the immediate "pre-invasion" years when life in Ukraine was marked by turmoil but full-scale war was not yet normalized.
A Crash Course in Molotov Cocktails by Halyna Kruk, translated by Amelia Glaser and Yuliya Ilchuk. Publisher: Arrowsmith Press (Massachusetts). This poem book is a guidebook to the emotional combat in Ukraine.
