Workshop description:
Joy Against The Machine is an ongoing workshop series previously delivered at Palace International Film Festival, Class Festival and Lyra Poetry Festival.
In this special extended version for Word by Word, Tom will work with participants to journey through the history of queer and marginalised writers, interpreting their work and creating our own original poetry to imagine a community-focused future of queer joy and radical resilience.
Come and absorb, learn, discuss, share and create. The future is ours!
+ Let us know your accessibility needs! Our email is: [email protected], and we will do all we can to provide what you need!
+ Further information with directions on how to get to the workshop will be sent out closer to the time.
What to bring to the workshop:
+ If you're able, please bring a pen and notebook.
Timing:
Please arrive at the Delina Kitchen at 13:15.
The workshop will run from 13:30 - 16:30, with breaks. One of the breaks will feature lovely homemade snacks from Delina Kitchen and so if you have any food allergies please let us know!
At the end of the workshop we will ask those who can, to stay on for another 5 minutes to fill in our feedback forms - these are really important to help us with funding.
