This concert is presented as Soohyun April Jang’s final exam concert in the NMH FRIMA program."The universe is not a distant void; it is a vast ocean flowing within us."
Utilizing three years of research about the sound of the universe and translated into contemporary music composition, a sinfonietta for 17-piece ensemble and spatial visual arts, the piece traces the arc of existence – from the violent expansion of the Big Bang to the microtonal nebulas and the rhythmic precision of Pulsars.
As the cosmic textures settle, the narrative shifts from the external universe to the 'micro-cosmos' of motherhood.
My universe has changed since the moment my child was born.
And now, I have become my child’s whole universe.
What is your universe? And what does it sound like?
It is a tribute to the moment my universe was redefined, inviting the audience to witness the profound resonance between the stars above and the life within.
