Formed by members of Kid Mountain, the band debuted with Unwind (2024), a collection praised for its gentle cohesion and understated beauty. Their upcoming sophomore record, due spring 2025, builds on that foundation with sharper edges and individual moments to shine. The first single, “Thistle,” pairs Corinne Roma’s smooth, rhythmic vocals with Tyler Rosenholm’s melodic guitar work—an evolution of Wooll’s inviting sound into something moodier, yet still comforting and deeply human.
PURPLE IVY SHADOWS formed in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1991. After a brief stint in New York City they made Providence, RI their permanent home in ‘93. After many years away and building off their solid discography, PiS have returned with a renewed vision to play both old and new songs to get lost in.
