About this Event
This hands-on series consists of 4 sessions where you will learn step-by-step how to plan, measure, cut, assemble, and finish a wooden box!
Students are provided an oak board, ensuring you have quality material to work with. All material costs including lumber and consumables are included in the price of the class.
At the end of the series, you'll take home a handmade wooden box that reflects your creativity and newfound skills in woodworking. The fundamental techniques learned in the class can be applied to a wide variety of future projects.
Students Should Bring:
- Closed Toed Shoes
- No loose fitting clothing, hair, or jewlery
These materials are available but you can bring your own:
- Safety glasses
- Hearing protection
- Mask for respiratory protection
- Mechanical Pencil
- Utility Knife
Class Minimum
Please note, a minimum of two student are required for the class to proceed as scheduled. In the event the minimum is not met, the class will be rescheduled to ensure an optimal learning experience for all participants.

About This Instructor: Ben Cline
Ben Cline has been a part of the Technocopia community since 2015. He currently is the steward of the Wood Shop. He has been woodworking for 20+ years and has been formally trained at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). He also was a former Vice President of the Central New England Woodturners Guild (CNEW.org). He owns his own business (@ClineCraft) as a Home Improvement Contractor.
