The Woodshop Orientation is a broad introduction which covers the whole Makerspace YK woodshop and its operation. The training should familiarize members with the woodshop layout, safety protocols, tools available for use, and how to access the shop and other spaces after attending orientations.Participants will be guided tool-by-tool on their safe handling and general uses, required personal protective equipment, and, time permitting, demonstrations or hands-on practice.
Previous experience is not necessary. Registration is required! Please register on our website.
Participants are required to have shop appropriate clothing (close fitting, no hanging jewelry) and closed toe footwear. Hearing protection and safety glasses are available to lend.
