Join WoodmenLife families and their guests for a fun‑filled summer day at the U.S. National Whitewater Center—the largest outdoor center of its kind in the world! Enjoy nature, adventure, outdoor recreation, and quality time together at this world‑class facility in Charlotte, NC.

Spend the day exploring 1,300 acres of protected woodlands featuring:

• The world’s largest man‑made whitewater river
• Nearly 40 miles of trails
• Dozens of outdoor adventure activities including rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, ropes courses, zip lines, climbing, and more

WoodmenLife will host a private indoor “Base” Lounge—the perfect place to cool off, rest, and connect with other families. Enjoy tables, seating, and terrace access with views of outdoor attractions.

A boxed lunch is provided for all registered attendees.

Admission & Pass Information

To participate in all WoodmenLife Family Day festivities—including activities, lunch, and Base Lounge access—a pass is required for each attendee.

• Adult Day Pass – $10
• Youth Day Pass – $5
• No Activity Pass – $2

The No Activity Pass is available for adults who are chaperoning children but do not plan to participate in activities. It includes access to the Whitewater Center grounds, dining areas, and the WoodmenLife Base Lounge.

• High ropes courses & zip lines

• A $20 dining voucher valid at any onsite restaurant

This makes the Day Pass the best option for anyone planning to participate in activities or enjoy food and drinks throughout the day.

WoodmenLife “Base” Lounge

Enjoy a cool, comfortable place to regroup between adventures.

The lounge includes:
✔ Air‑conditioned indoor space
✔ Tables & seating
✔ Terrace access
✔ Family‑friendly environment
✔ Safe place to leave belongings
✔ Rest area to escape the June heat

(Times can be adjusted if needed)

• 10 a.m. – Check‑in opens
• 12 p.m. – Lunch Pickup in conference room
• All Day – Activities open to all passholders biking, climbing, ropes courses, ziplines (aside from two largest ziplines off 100ft tower), kayaking, rafting.
• Closing Time – Activities likely end at 7 p.m. but will have live music until 10 p.m.

Upon arrival, please check in at the WoodmenLife table located at GROUP CHECK IN to receive:

• Your Day Pass wristbands & WoodmenLife bands
• Your boxed lunch ticket
• Your $20 restaurant voucher
• Directions to the Base Lounge

What to Bring

To make the most of your day, we recommend bringing:

• Comfortable outdoor clothing
• Closed‑toe shoes (required for many activities)
• Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses
• Refillable water bottle
• Small backpack for belongings
• Extra clothes if participating in water activities

Activity Requirements

Please note:

• Some activities have minimum height/weight requirements
• Life jackets are provided for water activities
• Not all activities are suitable for young children
• Guests should review all safety signage onsite

This event will proceed with rain or shine.
Certain activities may delay or pause temporarily in the event of severe weather for safety reasons.

Parking is covered for the entire WoodmenLife group.

A parking attendant can guide you to check in.
