Create your own charming wall hanging inspired by the beauty of the woodland. Featuring delightful motifs such as a fox, hedgehog and acorn, this project celebrates the flora and fauna of the forest.Choose your favourite elements from the templates Gail provides on the day and build your own unique sampler in rows using her simple, effective fusing technique.
This workshop is ideal even if you’re new to quilting. You’ll find the process very straightforward, and throughout the day Gail will guide you through a variety of easy machine-quilting techniques to bring texture and life to your designs.
Gail is an experienced quilter and textile artist who has worked full-time with fabric and thread for over 20 years — and she can’t imagine a better way to earn her living. She designs and stitches quilts for books and patterns, as well as creating larger commissioned pieces.
She travels throughout the UK and beyond, giving talks about her quilts and teaching workshops. Several times each year, she also leads residential workshops in a range of locations.
You’ll often find Gail at quilt shows — and she is always at the Festival of Quilts at the NEC each August.
