As spring brightens our woodlands with flowers and green leaves we return to Stanmer to dance in the evening light as the sun sets. Expect a mgical grove with incenses, candles, fairy lights and fire to dance with.

Meet Peter Michel, aka Pixi Pete, a multifaceted artist seamlessly combining his roles as a DJ, creative facilitator, and musician. He draws from a rich tapestry of over a decade in embodiment practices, meditation, self-development and performance and has blossomed into a versatile talent.
Peter's journey led him to training with the Dancing Heart Path's mystery and embodiment school, completing Authentic Relating Lvl 1, and initiation into facilitating Cacao Ceremonies in Nicaragua. He has deepened his esoteric wisdom during a rigorous month-long retreat at Las Pyramides, Guatemala, and has participated in multiple shamanic and tantric workshops. These experiences have equipped him to lead workshops of remarkable power and rooted presence.
In his facilitation, Peter fuses diverse experiences, curating inclusive and powerful dance spaces. A distinct touch is his live percussion prowess, supplementing DJ sets with entrancing rhythms, from bongos to djembe, activating and energising the crowd. Unbound by genres, Peter's musical exploration spans and blends styles, innovatively synchronising up to 4 Decks for soulful, layered soundscapes.
Anticipate euphoric melodies, tribal cadences, and bass vibrations harmonised with nostalgia. Asought-after act, Peter performs at global festivals and Events. Including as a resident DJ for
Ecstatic Dance Bristol, Ecstatic Dance U.K, Mind Body Spirit Festival, and Dance Medicine Glastonbury he crafts transformative ceremonies and events, radiating sonic vibrancy across the U.K and beyond.

What to Bring/Wear
👉🏻Bring some water or a warm drink if its a cool day. Some snacks.
👉🏻You may want a scarf or hat to wear over the headsets so they stay on more securely while you dance.
👉🏻Wear comfy clothes you can move and dance in. If that happens to be pink sparkly hot pants go for it, but pyjamas are also welcome! Wear layers and bring a warm jumper or coat to put on after. I recommend dancing barefoot on the earth to release, heal & ground your energetics.
👉🏻You may want wet wipes to clean your feet!
Refunds/Exchanges
👉🏻Tickets will be fully refunded or transferred to another dance if the organisers cancel the event. Otherwise we are not able to offer refunds, you may sell your ticket on to another person if you are no longer able to attend.
Children
👉🏻Are very welcome! Headsets have their own volume control to make it a suitable sound level for each individual.
Weather
👉🏻Hopefully conditions will be bright & dry! But if it looks damp please bring anoraks or wet weather clothing. We aim to keep going through most weather's, but in the case of heavy rain we will cancel the dance by 10am on the day and can either refund or transfer your ticket to another date.
Location/Time
👉🏻Please arrive for 2pm if you have never been to the location before. Give yourself plenty of time to find a parking spot in the Stanmer Park car parks. Meet at 6.30pm by the far swings in the children's playground which is on the left when you enter the park. (Lower Lodges West Car Park) From there someone will guide you up to the dance location. If you know the location (Fallen tree with fire pit) please be there at 220pm to start at 230pm.
👉🏻 Stanmer Park is a well used space so there will be others around! I have picked a more private/enclosed area to make it easier to go more deeply into the dance. Otherwise let's be happy to share our beautiful individual expressions with anyone passing by!
👉🏻You will be able to stay near out catherdral of trees or explore the natural area around. Please take care amongst the flowers and be careful to stay on paths or areas of ground where the flowers will not get trodden on.
Headsets
👉🏻This is a 'silent disco' style set up! Please look after the headsets - they cost around £40 each to replace if damaged! Do not place them on the ground.
What to expect during Ecstatic Dance
👉🏻ED is based in the natural understanding that our bodies know how they need and want to move themselves in order to heal, strengthen, release and be nourished. Our ancestors practised rhythmic dancing to drums and chanting for centuries. The dance is aimed at guiding you on a journey to connect with your body and to move, release and experience a shift in your whole being.
You are given some guidance to start and then you are invited to listen and move with your internal guidance. There will be a mix of slow, fast, playful, touching and many styles of music.
You may have many different feelings, thoughts, experiences come up! Dance with them ALL! If you feel pain, tune in, is this something to gently move with and feel or do you need to change your movement or rest? If you feel tired, is this old, stagnant 'tired' feelings being released that you can keep dancing through, or do you need to slow down?
There is no right or wrong way to move! Enjoy connecting with your body and the music and allow your journey to unfold.

Anna-lisa Drew has a pure love of creating transformation, expression and expansion through the body. Weaving her knowledge and experience from energetic, physical, therapeutic and creative trainings she creates layered dance landscapes to explore, reflect and process our inner worlds with a mix of global rhythms, beats and melodies. She is an Ecstatic Dance Facilitator, DJ, Tao Master, Art Therapist & Mother.
