Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer, Woodes, announces her new cinematic EP, Hibernation which will be released on October 13th.To celebrate the release Woodes will be returning for two special Australian tour dates in Sydney & Melbourne this November, her first shows since 2019.
Alongside the announcement, Woodes has released a percussive-driven anthem called, “Don’t
Look Back.” With a beat shuffling forward punctuated by cello, she keeps her head high and urges
listeners “Don’t look back. You can never look back.”
“Don’t Look Back” is the first single following the release of her EP, Kingdom Come, a six-song exploration of nostalgia and the journey of growth through alternative pop soundscapes. If Kingdom Come reflects the experiences of Elle in this world, Hibernation amplifies its delivery in the story of the character of Woodes.
Elle shares, “She’s coming out of Hibernation into this strong version of herself….I’m putting Woodes in a
fantasy utopia...I see the trailer for the Woodes movie in my head…..It’s a grand vision of the legends
before us and going after your dream. It’s gritty and immediate.”
