WoodBUILD 2026 will gather voices from across the forestry and timber construction value chain including policy makers, knowledge creators and practical doers, to explore how timber can strengthen the creation of sustainable places and resilient value chains.
Wales’ Timber Industrial Strategy (2025) and the England Wood Strategy (2023) will serve as working case studies to demonstrate how policy ambition can be translated into practice. The focus will be on local, national, and international dimensions that position forestry and timber construction as a shared regenerative response to the climate and nature emergencies, while also strengthening the economy and addressing the urgent demand for housing.
Through plenaries, workshops, and collaborative sessions, delegates will connect responsible policy with practical action to secure timber's place in a sustainable future.
Since its launch in 2016, WoodBUILD has grown into Wales’ leading event for the timber industry and low-carbon housing. Building on the success of last year’s dynamic gathering, WoodBUILD 2026 promises two action-packed days of inspiring speakers, expert exhibitors, thought-provoking panels, interactive plenaries, hands-on demonstrations, and collaborative workshops.
