Hand Carving Class: Forest Spirit
Wood spirits, “protectors of the forest,” are said to bestow good luck and health to any person who crosses them. Carve a wood spirit with Bob and add a little luck to your home.
At the start of this class you will create a “study piece”: a step-by-step procedure learning to create eyes, a nose, and a mouth on a study stick. Then, you will put all these pieces together and carve your very own wood spirit.
Wood provided by teacher. Students must provide their own knives:
