Come and join us for a Wood Barn Quilt Workshop
Display a piece of rural heritage by creating your own custom
designed Barn Quilt! We will be holding a 2 day workshop at
DeRoche Ridge Mercantile that will allow you to design and paint a 2’ x 2’ wooden barn quilt that can be used indoors or out.
Your unique, artistic piece will become part of the Barn Quilt trend growing in Western Canada!
We will supply the plywood, primed white and ready to go, pencils, painters' tape, paint brushes, tools and step by step instruction to complete your project.
You will need:
⁃ a design and colour scheme that reflects you! (Find some inspiration online but do not choose something too complicated if this is your first barn quilt. Ideally 2-4 colours is best for a project this size.)
⁃ Exterior Acrylic/latex semi-gloss paint for your chosen colour scheme. The most cost effective way to do this is to purchase 8oz/236 ml sample sizes from Canadian Tire that can be tinted for you to your colour choices.
Registration
Fee: $100 plus PST
Register in-store at DeRoche Ridge Mercantile, as space will be limited to 12 attendees. Alternatively, you can email your registration confirmation to [email protected]
DeRoche Ridge Mercantile will remain open during the event, to provide you with a private opportunity to shop in the store.
Beverages, Snacks, and Baking will be available for purchase in-store during the event.
