About this Event
What do a medieval queen, a militant suffragette, the queen of crime and the founder of modern nursing have in common?
At first glance, not much. They lived centuries apart, moved in very different worlds, and fought very different battles. But all of them lived, worked, or are remembered in Westminster.
On this Women’s History Month walk led by Mike, we uncover the stories of these four remarkable women (and many more!) who challenged expectations and left thier mark on history. Through streets, buildings and memorials, we bring these women back into the spotlight and give their voices the space they deserve.
Meeting Place: forecourt of Charing Cross Station next to the letter box.
The walk will last about 2 hours, ending at St Martin-in-the-Fields church in Trafalgar Square.
