Learn about their lives as wives, daughters, mothers, and heroines.This tour features entertaining stories of women – settlers and Māori – who lived in Wellington and helped shape its history. They are wives, daughters, mothers, housewives and heroines: an artist, a nurse, a teacher and a song-writer, as well as boarding house operators, shopkeepers and inspiring leaders.
This tour starts at 4pm from the Bolton Street Cemetery Museum, near 26 Bolton Street, and finishes back at the Museum.
Children aged 12 and under are free; well-behaved dogs, on leads, are welcome.
