About this Event
Join a small group for a quiet outdoor sketching session together. I will help guide you to be present in our natural surroundings and be intentional in observing them. We will take pauses where we will make quick sketches that are expressive and impressionistic throughout our walk. We will reflect at the end about what we saw that inspired us the most. You will be encouraged not to be too precious about your sketches and use the activity to be present in the moment and switch off from the busyiness of daily life. You do not need to have ever sketched anything before, it's not about creating something masterful but instead about playing with materials and letting go of expectation.
It can be beautiful to be with likeminded people who do not seek to fill the silence, but gradually relax into it. Most of the session will be quiet with minimal talking.
Requests:
- Phones away and on silent.
- No photos of other people in the group
- No dogs or dependents. You will be switching off from all that depends on you to be fully present.
