Women's Shed - are you interested?We are frequently asked ‘can women come and use the kit in the Shed’. We’ve heard a range of interests, from learning a bit more about DIY to using all the kit at the Shed. So we want to understand the level and range of interest. Ultimately, we’d like to see a Women’s Shed working in parallel with the Men’s Shed. It may take a bit of time to get there.
As a reminder we have workshops, social area/kitchen for relaxing, playing board games etc., garden with polytunnel and greenhouses and a pétanque piste.
The workshops include: woodworking, mechanical workshop for bikes/motorbikes, 3D printing, leaser engraving, CNC computer controlled wood working, picture framing, model making….
We will, of course, be able to give any necessary training in use of tools, workshop etc..
How/when a Women’s Shed would operate will depend on what the interested women want to do.
