The Franklin Jiu-Jitsu Club #GrizCave is presenting a ladies-only self defense seminar led by Coach Felecia "Rooster" Bowers, a federal law enforcement physical tactics instructor and self-defense expert (bio in comments). The training will include lecture and hands-on training covering topics such as target hardening, avoidance, situational awareness, de-escalation, fighting back, post-altercation actions, and legal considerations. Felecia will conclude the training with a Q&A to address any individual concerns.This self-defense training is appropriate for:
* women of all ages and fitness levels
* female high school and college students
* any woman age 14+
* female law enforcement officers
* any woman seeking to prevent or stop an attack
The training will be physical; however, the techniques practiced can be executed by anyone regardless of their level of fitness. Attendees should bring water and wear athletic clothing. Sleeves that fully cover the shoulder and armpit are required.
The cost is nominal, with 100% of the registration fees to be donated to the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence. All attendees will receive a FREE punch-card for 11 classes at the Franklin Jiu-Jitsu Club, a $125 value.
* Early Bird Discount: $15 per person who pays via Venmo or Paypal at least one day prior to the event; otherwise, attendees must pay general admission.
* Student Discount: $5 for students who pay via Venmo or Paypal at least one day prior to the event; otherwise, attendees must pay general admission.
* General Admission: $20 per person for anyone paying cash the day of the seminar.
Please note that only prepaid registrants are guaranteed a spot. Attendees who are paying the day of the seminar will be admitted on a “first come, first serve” basis until capacity is reached. Sales are final and payment is non-refundable.
