Join our women-only beginners' course this January for six weeks of Mishima Kempo and self-defence!The course is open to all, regardless of ability or previous experience. Students aged 14 to 16 should be accompanied by a guardian, but there really is no upper age limit!
Our courses are always fun and informative, with a strong emphasis on putting the learner first. We understand that everyone learns in their own way and at their own pace, which is why our instructors adapt to suit each individual.
From the very first lesson you'll be working with the pads, practising footwork and movement, and learning the essential skills of Mishima Kempo martial arts.
Upon completion of the course, you may be eligible to take the (entirely optional) 9th Kyu examination for a yellow belt in Mishima Kempo: your first step towards the coveted 1st Dan black belt.
What to wear: Loose comfortable clothing, or a Gi if you practice another martial art. Footwear is optional, we tend to wear trainers.
What to bring: A drink and a sense of adventure!
