During the Aries New Moon, we gather in sacred space to create personalized despachos, prayer offerings inspired by the traditions of the Andean spiritual traditions.A despacho is a ceremonial bundle created with intention. Each element placed inside represents a prayer, hope, blessing, or expression of gratitude. Traditionally, these offerings include flowers, herbs, seeds, and other natural elements, all layered together as a symbolic gift to the Earth and the spiritual realms.
For this ceremony, we will create our own despachos using plants and natural materials native to our land. As we add each ingredient, we will infuse it with our personal intentions—our dreams, prayers, and visions for the cycle ahead.
Once our offerings are complete, we will burn the despachos together in ceremony. As the fire transforms the bundles into smoke and ash, our prayers are symbolically carried into the universe while the energy of our intentions is released and received.
This ritual is a powerful way to honor the beginning of the lunar cycle, aligning with the courageous, initiating energy of Aries and deepening our connection to the Earth, spirit, and our own inner fire.
