About this Event
As part of the implementation of the Women’s Health Plan, Welsh Government has asked Health Boards across Wales to develop dedicated Women’s Health Hubs.
We’ll be coming together to discuss a new Integrated Women’s Health Hub for Bridgend — and, most importantly, what needs to change to improve health, wellbeing, and experiences for women locally.
This event is all about YOU.
Your experiences.
Your challenges.
Your ideas for change.
By working together, we can better understand the everyday issues that affect women’s quality of life — from accessing the right services at the right time, to knowing where to turn for clear information and support throughout every stage of life.
We’ll be focusing on three key priorities from the Welsh Government’s Women’s Health Plan:
Priority 1 – Menstrual Health
Including endometriosis, dysmenorrhoea, heavy menstrual bleeding, PMDD, and PCOS.
Priority 3 – Contraception, Post-Natal Contraception & Abortion Care
Including preconception health, abortion care, and initial fertility assessments.
Priority 6 – Menopause
Including premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), management of unscheduled bleeding on HRT, and testosterone treatment.
We want to explore:
- Are there issues affecting your health and wellbeing under these priorities?
- Do you feel you have access to the right services and support?
- What more could be done to help you live happily and healthily?
This is a safe, supportive space to share your thoughts and help shape the future of women’s health services in Bridgend.
