About this Event
Welcome to the Women's Grief Circle. Join us as Sunflower Studio to gather with like-minded souls for an evening of ritual & renewal in the sacred work of grief. This is a safe space for women to come together & share.
Bring an open heart & a tender touch to create a community of support & empowerment. We can't wait to see you there.
Looking back over the years of my life I notice how grief has touched so many parts. It's intertwined with life’s joy & pleasures just like the roots of a tree.
Our society asks of us progress & positivity. It does not acknowledge the long jouney of grief in any way that holds us through our own process.
Nowhere was it mirrored to me that I was in fact grieving, & that it was a normal & natural part of my life's jounrey.
Not just the loss of loved ones but parts of myself that were dying off to make room for new life to grow.
Not just the loss of relationships but the transformation my own body was going through.
Coming home to my body I began to respect the normal flow of balance ~
pleasures & joy & grief & releasing.
This in-person event is an offering of time to spend in circle to share in the stories & wisdoms of our own grief journeys. By bringing this very normal process to the light it is my intention that we may find balance within & without.
The event will end with a gentle & nourishing sound bathing.
Due to the nature of this event & the space there will be limited space for 7 women so if this is calling to you please get your ticket.
Please note this is a space for sharing & being witnessed in your process. If you do need more structural grief support through a trained specialist health professional please do take what you need.
Your Host
Hi, I'm Sophia & I am a specialist nurse in women’s health & wellbeing & a folk Artist. I have for the last decade been holding space for women in their processing through life’s transformations & using creative practices as a tool to access our creative essence, our soul self for deep nourishment & insight.
It is my absolute pleasure to hold space for you as we welcome the grieving process rather than fearing it.
What to expect
Join us for an evening of sharing, wisdom & insights through the rituals & renewals of grief work. We will meet together at Sunflower Studios, a small intimate space in the heart of Brighton lanes. Together we will create a space that feels safe & inviting as we share our stories of grief, both past & present. I will share some creative practices along the way that may be of guidance for you as you continue your processing. Each woman will have her own grief workbook send via email to accompany the session for support & guidance.
There is an opportunity for reflection & integration calls on a one to one basis after the event if you feel called to.
Please come with an open heart & curious mind along with anything you may need to feel comfortable in the space. We will be creating a snug area for each of us to get comfy in so bring layers in case you get too hot/cold, something to drink and your favourite comfort, like a blanket, eye mask, teddy. Whatever it is you need to feel safe in the space together.
You will be invited to lay down for the sound bathing.
