Rooted Rhythm is a deeply intimate and guided sensory awakening space through movement—a space where music, intuition, sisterhood and deep feminine embodiment come together. This is a ritual, a reclamation, and a homecoming to your body’s wisdom.
Through somatic womb movement, breath, guided technique, hand to body connection, and sound, we awaken the root and sacral energy centers—the seat of creativity, sensuality, and personal power. Here, movement is not about performance but about release, exploration, and pleasure. At the opening of each session we set a collective intention and at the end we reflect together, and journal with given prompts.
What is Rooted Rhythm?
An exploration of our bodies deepest parts through movement. Feeling the earth beneath you, and letting movement arise from that grounding. It’s about honoring your body’s desires, feeling the rhythms that call you, and allowing them to move you in ways that are both freeing, fun, and sacred.
- 🫦 Listening to your body’s wisdom – Trust that your body knows what it needs, whether that’s a fierce, powerful release, a laugh-filled moment, or a soft, subtle expression.
- 💦 Embracing your desires – Your body’s cravings are sacred. When we honor our desires, we discover our purpose and peace.
- 🐉 Awakening creativity – Movement is a language of its own, and through dance, we open channels for creativity and sensuality.
- 🥰 Held by women – Surrounded by the support of the group, each of us coming together with similar intentions, witnessing the importance of women together in our rawness.
- 🤲 Release the performance – Whether you’re in a wild, carefree moment or a tender, introspective one, accept each fluctuation as they arrive and let go of judgment.
Here to Guide You…
I believe movement is a doorway to the part of us that holds a deep, unshakable knowing. Intuitive dance has been my refuge in times of uncertainty—a way to anchor into my body when the mind feels lost.
For years, this practice was deeply personal, something I turned to in solitude. But during a recent artist residency in Bali, I felt called to share it. As I guided others through this flow, I witnessed a profound shift—walls dissolving, energy unlocking, women reclaiming themselves through movement. That moment changed everything.
Now, I invite you into this space. A space to shed, awaken, and return to the wisdom within.
The Music…
Curated with intention, each sound is chosen to awaken the feminine spirit. Music is the gateway—it guides us into our most primal, untamed essence, inviting us to crack open, let loose, and move with full-bodied truth. Afrobeat forms the pulse of this experience, weaving in rhythms of Latin, Persian, and Soul.
Rooted in the earth, Afrobeat carries a lineage of resistance and power. Emerging in the 1970s with Fela Kuti as a revolutionary force against oppression, it has always been music for liberation. Though modernized, its essence remains: a call to reclaim, to rise, to move in our most embodied truth.
As we dance, we honor this history—not just as a rhythm, but as a return to our own womb-centered, grounded power.
