Welcome to the Women's Forest Therapy Taster Session
Accredited Forest Therapy practitioners, Ava Maginnis and Jennifer Bell, will lead you through a series of gentle invitations to restore, de-stress, and immerse yourself in nature. No prior experience is necessary, just an open mind and a willingness to explore.
This taster session is designed specifically for women looking to unwind and connect with the natural world, in anticipation of a 'Winter Well' series in 2025. As such we would welcome feedback.
Please arrive at The Green Barn at 10am.
It is a 5 minute walk to the barn from the car park, so aim to arrive in good time.
Parking:
Parking is in the main Leigh Woods car park. There is a small parking fee at the machine. The path to The Green Barn is demarcated by small purple flags.
Access:
We will be following woodland trails, so please anticipate some uneven ground. The green barn has bench seating. There are some camping chairs and stools provided for those who do not wish to sit on sit mats on the ground. Please let us know in advance if you have any access needs or conditions of which we may need to be aware?
Clothing and footwear:
Please be weather and temperature conscious. You may need waterproof footwear and clothing, and you will certainly need warm layers - the ambient temperature may be cooler in the woods. We suggest you err on the side of caution and bring too much, and if that's the case, we can store it for you!
Refreshments:
We will provide a selection of herbal teas.
Photographer:
There will be a photographer present who will be taking pictures for us to be able to market our 'Winter Well' series. Please let us know if you do not wish to appear in the photos.
