We are super excited to announce our upcoming series of Women Empowerment workshops!!Here at Centrala, we firmly believe in female empowerment, equality and inclusion, that’s why these workshops are designed to help you discover your full potential and make a real difference in the world!
Our Women Empowerment workshops are packed with valuable information and practical activities to help you thrive in every aspect of your life: from learning about your rights and how to assert them, to networking with like-minded individuals and improving your leadership skills!
Our first workshop will be led by our current artist in residence, Karen Babayan (@babayan1654). Karen will run a session called ‘Writing Ourselves In Flowers, Folds and Words’.
About the workshop
Who are we and where do we belong? In this accessible workshop, Karen will support you in writing stories of your past and present self, through prose, poetry or even your shopping list! We will experiment with creating images out of these words and then we will fold the pages; exploring books made from just one piece of paper, to the concertina book, to the flower fold book form. This creative and fun workshop is open to all abilities, especially those trying out book-making for the first time!
