Our Women's Surf program is an ongoing 5 week surf program designed to help women of all ages and skill levels learn to surf, improve their surfing skills and build confidence in the ocean.The 5-Week Surf Program takes a small group of likeminded women - at the same stage in the learning cycle - through a structured program where you’ll learn exactly what you need to know - at the right time, and in the right order - to empower you with skills to progress as quickly as possible.
Through our detailed progression roadmap our first class surf instructors will breakdown all of the technical, complicated surf jargon and deliver it to you in a step by step format that’s super easy to follow, all in a 100% non-judgemental learning environment.
A FEW THINGS THE GROUP WILL BE LEARNING...
BEGINNER GROUP: LEVEL 1
- How to select and catch waves unassisted in the white water
- How to stall and accelerate the board
- Master the 'Aussie Pop Up' method
- Work on agility and prediction drills
- Board management and control
- Ocean awareness
- The proper stance which will allow you to perform turns and progress onto catching unbroken waves
- Turning left and right in the white water
- Understand etiquette and know how to confidently and safely deal with any situation which may present itself to you
PROGRESSOR GROUP: LEVEL 2
- Harness the power of the 'Pop & Cork' method - a technique that'll double (or even triple your wave count, instantly).
- Understand the 4-stages of a wave so that you're on the right waves, at the right time - every time.
- Learn the secrets to the little known 'Pro-Pop' method - used by the pro's, but so often overlooked by beginners.
- Master the skills of taking-off on green unbroken waves - without nosediving on every wave!
- Learn the difference between functional and progressive stance - which one you should be focusing on, and why.
- Find out the oh so common (easily avoidable) mistakes that 90% of beginners make time, and time again - and how to correct them.
- Learn all about 'Spot-X' - what it is, why it's important, and how to use it to your advantage.
