About this Event
The WomenEd North West team invite you to celebrate the launch of Disruptive Women: A WomenEd Guide to Equitable Action in Education.
Disruptive Women is your guide to changing the status quo in the education system.
Our event will uplift and celebrate women leaders working for equity across the North West, featuring a reading by WomenEd NW Network Lead and contributor Dr Nasima Riazat and Patrick Ottley-O'Connor speaking about 'The Lost Chapter: #WomenEd and #HeforShe' and others.
Join us in the bar afterwards for networking and further discussion. The Village Hotel serves food and drinks, if you wish to stay for lunch.
Drawing from rich, varied perspectives from across the global WomenEd community it offers guidance, solidarity and real-life examples of how to make change happen in four vital areas:
- Increasing the representation of women in educational leadership
- Breaking down barriers that exclude diverse women from leadership roles
- Disrupting the gender pay gap for women leaders
- Championing flexible working for more equitable working cultures
