Join us for our monthly hour of power, and more! We are lifting off for 2026 with this La Fiesta special edition. It's free to attend - refreshments can be purchased onsite.
Nathalie began her medical career in the Netherlands, training in Paediatrics and completing a PhD before making a bold move to Aotearoa New Zealand in 2014. Over the next decade, she combined clinical excellence with leadership, serving as National Secretary of the Association of Salaried Medical Specialists, Associate Dean for the University of Otago, and Chair of the Combined Medical Staff, among other roles. She also became a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors, reflecting her commitment to governance and strategic leadership.
In 2024, Nathalie stepped into the role of Chief Medical Officer and Director of Child and Youth at Whanganui Hospital, embracing the belief that growth and comfort don’t coexist. Her journey illustrates the power of courage and adaptability — from supporting individual patients as a paediatrician to shaping systems and communities as a senior leader. She is currently training in Medical Administration with the Australasian College of Medical Administrators to strengthen her impact.
Beyond her professional life, Nathalie values family, fitness, and balance. Married to Roeland, with three adult children and a grandchild, she recently transitioned to life as an empty nester. Her story is one of continuous learning, bold transitions, and leading with purpose — inspiring women to step into leadership and create meaningful change.
