About this Event
If your business is 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women, we invite you to join us for an informative workshop on women-owned certification! Learn how becoming certified can open doors to new business opportunities, expand your network, and provide access to valuable resources and corporate partnerships!
Meet your facilitator, Bistany Bass! After serving a year as the Director of the Women’s Business Center Nashville, Bistany Bass was recently named Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships for WBEC South, the regional partner organization covering Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and the Florida Panhandle for WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council), the largest certifier of women-owned businesses and third-party certifier for WOSB. Prior to joining WBEC South, Bistany was the COO at Imagen, LLC, a woman-owned business that designs and builds trade show booths, museum displays and custom interiors. She earned her J.D. from Nashville School Law in 2007 and served for seven years as an adoption attorney at the Law Office of Lisa Collins. Prior to law school, she spent three years as a clinical research associate at ICON, working on clinical trials for new drugs. Bistany graduated Cum Laude from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology. In her spare time, Bistany enjoys spending time with her two sons, attending track meets and lacrosse games, being in the great outdoors and giving back as an Assistant Scout Master in their Boy Scout Troop.
