The culmination of your hard work and dedication will be celebrated at the Grand Finale Ride, a 50-60-mile all-women gravel ride and party on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 10th at Sawyer Brewing. Our mission is to provide you with the confidence and resources necessary to continue to explore and conquer your gravel endurance goals this year.
Join us on this exciting journey, where every pedal stroke brings you closer to your triumphs and the joy of discovering the incredible potential within you.
Is This Challenge Right for You?
This Challenge is about personal growth, camaraderie, and celebrating your achievements along the way. Can you ride 30 miles at a minimum average pace of 10 mph on gravel terrain? Do you have a well-maintained gravel bike or plan to acquire one? Do you want to connect with and build relationships with other strong women in our community? Are you ready to conquer some mental barriers and feel stronger on the bike?
If you find that you meet these criteria and are ready to dedicate yourself to the program, then this challenge will be the perfect opportunity for you to push your limits, build endurance, and achieve your gravel cycling goals.
Group Ride Dynamics:
Our goal is to foster a sense of community, challenge each other to improve, and celebrate the collective achievements of the entire group.
What You Need to Know:
Each Group Ride will offer three pace groups to accommodate a variety of fitness levels and riding experiences: A Group: 13-15 mph average B Group: 12-13 mph average C Group: 10-12 mph average
Each pace group is led by a ride leader. These experienced individuals will guide the group, maintain the designated pace, and offer support throughout the ride.
Regrouping and Wait Time. While these rides may not be classified as "no-drop," we understand the importance of regrouping. Planned regrouping points with set wait times will be incorporated into the ride.
Selecting the Right Pace Group:
It's crucial to choose a pace group that aligns with your fitness level and riding experience. This selection promotes a positive and comfortable riding environment for everyone. If you're unsure, consider starting in a group that matches your current capabilities and adjusting as you progress.
Group Ride RequirementsContribute to the overall safety and success of our group rides.
Make sure either you have a GPS device or are riding with a friend who does. A link to download the route will be provided before hand to participants for each event. Though there will be ride leaders you are ultimately responsible for your own navigation.
Arrive to the event ride-ready with a gravel-appropriate bike, adequate food and hydration, flat repair kit with a spare tube and multi-tool, and dressed in weather-appropriate attire with closed-toe shoes and a helmet.
Be ready for the pre-ride meeting 15 minutes before the start time. Adhere to rules of the road and safety guidelines. Support and follow your designated ride leader and ride together as a team.
