About this Event
Let's break from the bareness of winter & enter Tove's rugged island-scape in her 1972 novel 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓢𝓾𝓶𝓶𝓮𝓻 𝓑𝓸𝓸𝓴
A fierce lover of nature, solitude and the untamed — this book was written about the small island in the Gulf of Finland, where Tove lived and worked alongside her partner for 30 summers.
Her tender but unsentimental earth-voice, meditative and thoughtful, letting strangeness lead. The island becomes its own character in this book, as a grandmother & her granddaughter explore big ideas on grief, love, freedom, and boredom.
☆ Book is available for purchase in-store.
⭐️ Please note: any no-shows will be placed on the waitilist for future book clubs.
