About this Event
One of the galvanizing figures of the strike was Jennie Curtis, a 23 year-old seamstress working in the factory repair shops. When the women workers joined the American Railway Union and formed Local 269, they chose Jennie to lead them. This talk will focus on Jennie & Local 269 during the intense summer of 1894 up to her testimony before the United States Strike Commission.
Tickets include access to the Exhibit Hall, please note, come early if you want to see our new exhibit: From Wrecking Ball to National Park!
