Happy Spring! Women of Kato (Mal and Laura) is back for our 2026 WOK series! We are so pleased to welcome Montana Tolzman, Angie Anderson, Solvejg, and Jena Marie, and Kim Turner. Please join us on April 30th from 5:30-8pm at NaKato in LoNo. Montana is a singer/songwriter origianlly from Le Sueur, but now resides in St.Peter. Montana has been playing/writing/singing since they were thirteen years old, and identifies their music as folk. Their theme is telling a story of what's going on in life around them or internally through metaphors, rhymes, and stories.
Hailing from New Ulm, Minnesota, Angie Anderson is a folk singer-songwriter who turns life's hardest moments into music. After losing her son to cancer, Angie turned to songwriting to process her grief, discovering a path toward healing and connection with her listeners. With intricate fingerpicking and honest, relatable lyrics, her music creates a space where joy and heartbreak can coexist. Following her 2025 debut album, Angie is now releasing a new single every month, continuing to share her story one song at a time. Her music can be found on streaming services and on her website, angieandersonmusic.com
Solvejg is Mankato's freshest solo act. After several years with the alt rock group, Citrine Shandy, Solvejg recently broke out as a solo artist. Fresh off her performance at the recent Golden Hour, Solvej is excited to hit the Women of Kato stage.
