Our last Women in Tech Hampshire event of the year is on 4th December 2025 (after a change of date to accomodate the Lionesses playing!)

We are so excited to be joined by May Glover-Poultney, Cloud Development Manager at ActiveNav, Pia Williams, Head of Talent Acquisition at Gumtree, and Rebecca Reynolds Jones, Head of IT at Institute of Directors.

Our panel will share what they look for when hiring and onboarding new talent - from the skills that stand out, to the experiences that make a lasting impression. May Glover-Poultney is a software engineering manager with a passion for cultivating high-performing and happy teams. Her career has included leading cloud software development squads, software testing, and writing technical documentation, in both global enterprises and agile startups. She aims to foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement, empowering teams to deliver impactful solutions while supporting career growth and wellbeing.

About Pia

Pia Williams is a Talent Acquisition Leader with over a decade of experience driving growth and transformation across digital marketplaces, e-commerce, and retail sectors. She is an expert in building strategic talent programs, optimising recruitment activity and leading employer branding initiatives.

About Rebecca

Rebecca is an accomplished technology leader, having spent time within professional services and the non-profit sector. She is accomplished in building and nurturing high performing teams, particularly in diverse and remote settings. Keeping people empowered and connected to the heart of an organisation’s mission is Rebecca’s speciality, driving buy-in from the start of any initiative. Now working for the Institute of Directors and responsible for broad areas including IT, Cyber Security and Data, she will bring a valuable insight to our panel discussion.

This event isn’t only for newcomers to tech - it’s for anyone who wants insider insight into the skills that shine and how to stand out in a competitive industry.
