About this Event
The 2026 Women of the Year Awards Dinner, presented by the Dr. Una S. T. Clarke Women in Government Lecture Series, is an evening dedicated to honoring extraordinary women whose leadership, advocacy, and service continue to shape justice, equity, and opportunity across our communities. Held at Medgar Evers College, this year’s theme — “Honoring Her Impact: Women Who Shape Justice and Equity” — celebrates trailblazers in government, healthcare, law, public service, and community leadership whose work has opened doors for future generations.
More than an awards ceremony, the Women of the Year Dinner serves as a multigenerational gathering designed to inspire, connect, and empower emerging leaders. Rooted in the mission of the Dr. Una S. T. Clarke Women in Government Lecture Series, the event uplifts women in public service while creating meaningful opportunities for students and young professionals to engage directly with mentors, policymakers, executives, and potential employers. Through networking, storytelling, and community building, the evening encourages the next generation of women leaders to pursue careers in government, advocacy, and civic leadership with confidence and purpose.
