About this Event

Have you ever thought: I'd love an app to track this for me, but I'm not a developer?

That's exactly where this workshop starts.

In three hours, you'll build your own app: a personal planning tool that you and others can use.

Think of household task sharing, a shopping list, a caregiving overview or a volunteer schedule for a club event. You decide what you need.

Together we'll explore what "vibe coding" is and how AI makes building apps accessible to everyone, no technical background required.

No coding experience needed, just curiosity and your own laptop.

What you'll walk away with:

A working app you built yourself
A real understanding of how AI can be your building partner
The tools and confidence to keep building after the workshop

What you'll need To get the most out of the workshop, we ask you to prepare a few things in advance. You'll receive a clear step-by-step guide by email no later than one week before the workshop. Stuck on something while preparing? Feel free to reach out to Wanda via LinkedIn.

A laptop on which you can install software
A paid Claude Code subscription (approx. €20/month, cancellable afterwards)
Node.js, Git and the Claude Code desktop app installed
Free accounts with GitHub, Supabase and Vercel (instructions included in the guide)

About the facilitator

The workshop is led by Wanda Kruijt, affiliated with Vlam Bondgenoten in Innovatie. Wanda works on AI strategy and implementation and builds apps herself using AI as a creative partner: from a garden planner for a community allotment in Eindhoven to an instruction app for her rowing club. Through Van Excel naar App she shares what she learns with people who want to get started themselves, simply by doing it together.
